Seasonality of dried flowers: what we pick and when

Seasonality of dried flowers: what we pick and when

Dried flowers may seem "season-free" bouquets — and yes, we ship ready bouquets year-round. But the drying process itself follows nature's cycle. Here's our workshop calendar.

Calendar

  • Spring (Mar–May): feather grass, statice, first herbs.
  • Early summer (Jun): early lavender, daisies, grasses.
  • Mid summer (Jul): peak lavender, protea, roses.
  • Late summer (Aug): wheat, barley, oats.
  • Fall (Sep–Oct): pampas grass harvest, asters, berries.
  • Late fall (Nov): cones, dry fruits, branches.
  • Winter (Dec–Feb): production from stored stock, experiments, next-year planning.

What it means for you

"Freshly harvested lavender" — buy Aug–Oct. Pampas grass — Nov–Dec. Planning a summer wedding — order in May.
