How to move a dried flower bouquet: a practical guide

How to move a dried flower bouquet: a practical guide

Dried flowers are fragile. One bad bump and weeks of work are gone. Yet we ship hundreds of bouquets a month without issues. Here's how.

Principle 1: Rigid box

No soft bags, no envelopes. Cardboard box 20% larger than the bouquet on all sides.

Principle 2: Internal fixation

Crumpled paper, soft fabric, bubble wrap or straw shavings. Bouquet lies horizontal, fixed so it doesn't move when the box is gently shaken.

Principle 3: "Fragile / this side up" labels

No guarantee, but helps.

Car transport

Safest. Box in the trunk, nothing on top.

Postal (Nova Poshta, Ukrposhta)

Our stats: Nova Poshta 95% intact, Ukrposhta 85%, international 70–80%. Pay for "fragile" handling, insure, avoid peak days, pick up immediately.

Air travel

Small bouquets in carry-on — OK. Large pampas plumes — ship ahead. Checked baggage — don't.

If it arrives damaged

Pampas shedding — gentle shake. Broken stem — trim shorter. Fallen florets — hot glue. Total destruction — if you bought from us, contact us — we replace within 30 days with photo proof.

Our numbers

~800 packages sent in 2024, 18 damage returns (2.2%). Proper packaging = 98% success.
