⚠ Perigo

⚠ Raw red rowan berries contain parasorbic acid — causes nausea in quantity. Freezing or cooking destroys it. So — only after first frost, or cooked.

Como usar

Dried berries in pilaf — traditional Caucasian and Ukrainian cooking, a natural seasoning with therapeutic effect. Barberry kissel — for early cholecystitis. Bark tincture from pharmacy — only with a doctor.

⚠ Perigo

⚠ Unripe berries are toxic — don't eat green ones. Berberine in bark at high doses causes bleeding. Pregnancy — STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in all forms. Don't combine with blood thinners.

Congelação e cozedura eliminam frequentemente a toxicidade.
