Gypsophila: the quiet hero of every bouquet

Gypsophila: the quiet hero of every bouquet

If you've ever bought a bouquet — fresh or dried — there was probably gypsophila in it. Even if you didn't notice. This "fluffy cloud" of tiny white flowers is one of the hardest-working plants in floristry history.

Why everyone loves it

  • Fills without competing — creates volume, never pulls focus.
  • Cheap — grows everywhere stably.
  • Perfect for air drying — 2 weeks and it's done.
  • Color-neutral — white pairs with anything.

Where it shines

90% of wedding bouquets contain gypsophila, even minimalist all-white ones. Without it, bouquets look "naked."

Varieties

Natural white (best), dyed pink/blue (we don't make these — dye rubs off), "super gypsophila" with larger blooms.

Fun fact

In Victorian flower language gypsophila means "pure heart" and "innocence." It was given to young women and brides. The tradition lives today — that's why it's so common in wedding bouquets.

Gypsophila available in our catalog.
